ABOUT GARDENWORKS

GARDENWORKS.CO.UK. are a garden landscape company based in Barnes in West London. We have been designing and building gardens all over London and the South-east for the past twenty years. The gardens we have made range from modest city makeovers to large country houses. We are able to work in all styles of garden landscaping. From traditional gardens, using authentic reclaimed materials like Yorkstone flags, London stocks and ornaments, combined with cottage planting and Rose beds. Or Modern gardens with sharp, clean lines using rendered walls, decking and minimal planting.

LANDSCAPING

From transforming small town gardens to major construction projects, we have always been committed to delivering the highest standards of workmanship and plantsmanship. Every garden is different and requires new skills and solutions. We have built hundreds of gardens over the years and are able to take each project from the initial consultation, right through the design and construction, to the planting and maintenance stage. Working mainly in Richmond, Kew, Barnes and the South East we have developed a broad range of clients that are always happt to pass on our name to friends etc.

MAINTENANCE

The company started out in 1988 carrying out purely garden maintenance. Acquiring all the necessary horticultural skills and experience working in the private and commercial sector, maintaining large developments where jobs included mowing parks and formal lawns, planting formal bedding schemes, ornamental ponds, greenhouse cultivation, irrigation etc. Also several smaller gated properties and numerous private gardens.

As a company we have remained modest in size in order to provide what we consider essential elements to ensure that any job is undertaken to the same exacting specification and also on budget.

We have always believed that ‘word of mouth’ recommendation is the best form of advertising and therefore have never advertised our services anywhere. However, with the unstoppable dominance of the Internet, it seemed prudent to provide our clients with a window to view some of our works and testimonials.

It is only in this way that one can deliver exactly what the client has every right to expect; to engage a skilled and experienced team of gardeners, that turn up on time every day, are polite and friendly and work hard to provide a garden of the highest quality

Typically, after an initial meeting to discuss the brief and requirements of the design, we would provide an estimate, plan and time schedule. Following acceptance of the quote, my team and I would start on the agreed date and carry out every aspect of the work ourselves, with a guarantee to stay on site until completion of the works

GRAHAM SCOTT

I have been passionate about gardening since childhood and have been running my own company since 1988. With a degree in rural studies and a diploma in Horticulture/Botany as well as 20 years experience, I have strived to provide a complete solution for clients who are looking for a professional, friendly and personal service.

I have always had a very hands-on approach to the gardens I build and plant. I have been laying paving, turf and decking, building walls and pergolas and planting trees, shrubs and perennials for almost as long as I can remember. It’s what I love to do and I get a great deal of personal satisfaction from taking an unloved or neglected garden and transforming it into a beautiful, stylish space

My premise has always been; you want a company that can offer and achieve very high standards of work and will handle every stage of the works from design all the way through to completion

My own interests include, obviously, gardening, in all it’s many forms. DIY. I run around Richmond Park every Sunday in training for my first marathon. I do Yoga as often as I can and am learning Polish and German! I have two handsome boys and live in Barnes
